Mindfulness is the practice of paying full attention to the present moment, deliberately and without judgment. It involves becoming aware of your thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surroundings as they are — not as you wish them to be.
It’s about observing rather than reacting, cultivating awareness, calm, and compassion in everyday life.
The term comes from the ancient Buddhist concept “Sati”, meaning awareness or attention. However, modern mindfulness is widely practiced secularly in psychology, education, healthcare, and workplace wellness programs.
